I find it both amusing and depressing that apparently nowadays, your social status is established by the number of your facebook friends and the amount of times you're mentioned in a status update or tagged in somebody's profile picture. Not to mention the number of comments and thumbs up you gain on anything you broadcast on the interwebs (Hey! Comment on this will ya!)

The other day, I apparently pissed off a girl in my class by handing in the long-term assignment that was due that day - her reason being of course that she had better things to do than finishing it in time. Such as partying every night and celebrating her loss of memory every morning.
Her resolution was to storm off after said class, immediately find her best gurl to tell me off in my absence and - brace yourself for an immense shock - deleting me off her list of aquaintances, otherwise known as "Friends List on Facebook". As if that wasn't enough to make me cry yet, her best friend - who I have occasional friendly talks with, having known her for a lot longer than the girl that was actually angry at me - also deleted me.
Yeah man. You sure showed me.

I yet again frown upon the lack of maturity in oh so many people my age. And in pretty much anyone over 16, at which point to me it becomes kind of sad if you do such things as never confronting people about the problems you have with them. Seriously? What's the point in acting like you don't take shit from noone if you can't even confront them about unimportant shit like this when at the same time, you're letting it get to you so much?
Although. I should probably assume that... what I consider an overreaction is just the right amount of daily drama for an attention whore.

Almost 18 hours and no single comment on it - this must be a very bad journal entry... what a drama! :P

Ok, seriously - I agree with what you wrote. Also, the bad news: It doesn't get any better. Those people who are acting stupid and immature at your age now won't do otherwise later. The damage was done long before.
So keep being amused but don't get depressed on that. It wouldn't be worth it. And let them their daily drama - that's probably everything they have.
In the end it's all about what you do with your valuable time - and with whom you share it. :-)

Btw, very nice photos and artwork in your gallery! :aww:
